Often the one event we know is inevitable, our death, is a neglected and inadequately planned part of our lives. Pre-arranging a funeral is a practical way of avoiding many of the difficult decisions which need to be made at the time of death. It gives families time to discuss and think about the options available and to make decisions without the confusion, uncertainty and strained emotions that can accompany a loss.

Pre-arranging your funeral allows you to inquire about the various services and costs involved, enabling you to specify details and wishes for your own funeral.

Pre-Paid Funerals

We participate in the FDANZ (Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand) Funeral Trust. The money that is received for a Pre-Paid Funeral is held in Trust for you until it is needed.  The funds held in the FDANZ Funeral Trust may earn interest which the Trustees are able to allocate to your pre-payment.  The funds invested are placed with a solid and reputable bank (currently Westpac).  Pre-Paid funerals are excluded from asset assessment for people requiring long term residential care.
